What is Engage Experts?
Engage Experts is an innovative firm offering clients access to an outstanding and carefully-screened roster of experts in India. These experts are sourced from the public and private sectors and provide information, insight, advice, and advocacy across a range of industries. Our core service is matching our clients’ requirements to the appropriate expert within our network using both our website and a “live” helpdesk. Over time, we aim to build India’s largest network of high-quality experts. -
Typically, what kind of clients can make use of your services?
Any entity that seeks to do business in India: either as a destination for outsourcing, as a massive market, or as a source of innovation and creativity, will find our experts immensely valuable. Additionally, our public sector experts provide ethical and transparent government-relations services. Therefore our expert network will be valuable to consulting and professional services firms, multinational corporations, small and medium businesses, the investment community, and the public sector. -
Can we not identify these experts without Engage Experts?
In India, finding the right experts is terribly challenging due to a relative lack of structured sources of data. One of our core capabilities is in researching and identifying experts across industries and in both the public and private sectors. Further, we do the hard work of interviewing and background checking of all these experts. Finally, unlike some other firms that offer access to experts, we are 100% focused on India, giving ourselves a significant competitive advantage when it comes to finding and recruiting experts in India. -
Can Foreigners register at Engage Experts?
Yes, if they have the relevant India expertise. -
Are your experts employed by Engage Experts?
No, we do not employ any of our experts. Many of our experts are recently retired senior government officials or private sector leaders (CEOs, CFOs, etc.). Others run their own successful businesses, while some are still actively employed. Experts join our network because we enable them to offer their services to a global client base. We also provide them with the opportunity to continue developing themselves by networking with fellow experts and by attending our seminars & conferences. -
How do you charge for this service; how are experts compensated?
We charge our clients an annual subscription fee for access to our experts’ network and for client requirement & expert skill set mapping. A subscription enables our clients to use our website and our live helpdesk to enter their requirements. This results in a match with a set of experts with the relevant expertise. If an expert is retained, they charge clients at an hourly rate. The rate is set based on the expert’s skills and competencies. Engage Experts takes care of the billing and settlement. -
What kinds of experts do you have in your network?
Our experts are drawn from both the public and private sectors. Our public sector experts are the alumni of various government ministries and public sector entities. They offer insight and information on policy and regulatory issues and “ethical access and advocacy” services vis-à-vis the government. Our private sector experts are the alumni or employees of leading Indian and global firms, providing both strategic and tactical advice and information to businesses seeking to enter or expand in India. -
How do you choose your experts?
Engage Experts has a highly skilled recruiting team with offices in Washington D.C., Delhi, and Pune. Our team makes extensive use of a range of sources: our proprietary database of leads, industry lists and databases, referrals, conferences, and blogs among other sources are used to identify outstanding experts. In addition, potential experts approach us via our website. -
How fast is your roster of experts growing?
Our database of experts is rapidly growing. We are building nothing less than India’s largest high-quality and carefully-screened network of experts. We also pride ourselves on our ability to “custom recruit” experts. In other words, if our database does not contain the expert a client needs, we will quickly find, assess, check, and bring the appropriate expert into our network; a process that takes about one to two weeks. -
What kinds of consulting engagements are your experts available for?
We find that clients typically use experts for a series of phone & video consultations. Often, clients will also commission experts either to conduct research or to put together a report or study. Sometimes, a client will seek to retain an expert for a longer project involving face-to-face meetings. We are also able to facilitate this kind of an engagement. For all of these engagements, clients will be charged based on their hourly rate. -
What kinds of issues do your experts consult on?
Our experts address a diverse range of issues. For example, a U.S. pharmaceutical firm may need an industry expert to quickly assess the quality of providers of clinical trial outsourcing. A global consulting firm may require a rapid insight into the latest changes in renewable energy policies and incentives. Another firm may require an ex-government expert who can unravel the decision making process at a key ministry and assist with ethical advocacy. A potential investor may want a deeper understanding of the changing role of Indian regulatory agencies. -
What quality control measures do you have in place?
Before presenting our client with an expert, our recruiting team will interview the expert to assess their skills and readiness to meet our client’s needs. We also perform a background check of the expert to verify the skills and credentials. We actively seek the client’s feedback on the level of satisfaction with experts. We plan to factor this feedback into the expert profiles that we present to clients. -
What compliance and ethical measures do you have in place?
All of our experts must agree to Engage Experts’ Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) that establish exceptionally strong ethics and compliance parameters. These measures address key client needs such as confidentiality and expert conflict of interest (for example, with current employers). We would be happy to discuss these guidelines with clients in more detail. We also train our experts in the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). -
How satisfied are your clients?
We conduct a 360 degree customer-satisfaction survey after every client & expert engagement. Clients who have reported a High-satisfaction level are at 95.60 % while the 1.2 % has reported Satisfactory. In a scenario where a client reports an Unsatisfactory, we provide a repeat session, or refund the money.
